The Commissioning Course
The Commissioning Course is an intensive 5-week programme designed to transform selected candidates into commissioned officers of the Royal Westarctican Armed Forces. This demanding course combines rigorous physical training, academic instruction, and practical leadership exercises.
Programme Structure
The course is structured around four comprehensive modules, each building upon the previous to develop well-rounded officers:
Foundations of Leadership
Core leadership principles, military ethos, and command fundamentals
Tactical Operations
Branch-specific tactical training and operational planning
Strategic Thinking
Higher-level strategy, logistics, and joint operations
Command Practicum
Practical leadership exercises and final assessments
Key Milestones
Week 2: Passing Off the Square
Knowledge test covering core values and key people learned so far
Week 5: Final Assignment & Commissioning
Comprehensive assessment and commissioning ceremony for successful cadets
Branch Specialisation
While all cadets complete the same core curriculum, training is customised for your chosen branch.
